Chinese Cooking Class was held!
2024.10.6
This time, we enjoyed a dumpling-making session while connecting with Chinese and Taiwanese people living in Matsuda and nearby universities.
Participants ranged from junior high school students to adults, making it a fun and lively mix of generations.
Rolling out the dumpling wrappers into nice round shapes was trickier than expected, and some turned out a little wonky—but that only added to the charm! Of course, nothing beats the taste of dumplings made completely from scratch.

Besides learning how to make dumplings, we also tried out some basic Chinese greetings by repeating after our Chinese guests. One junior high school student, a huge Jackie Chan fan, even shared the story of when he appeared on stage with Jackie himself!
We were also treated to chrysanthemum tea and roasted pumpkin seeds brought by our Chinese guests. The beautiful look of the tea had the women enchanted, while the men couldn't stop snacking on the delicious seeds.
