【Report】Matsuda tourism festival tour

On August 23, the 45th Matsuda Tourism Festival and Ashigara Fireworks were held, and the Matsuda International Exchange Volunteer Association organized an international exchange tour.

During the day, participants enjoyed Japanese cultural activities at the tea room Saika-en.
 

8月23日に第45回まつだ観光まつりと足柄花火大会が開催され、松田町国際交流ボランティアの会は国際交流ツアーを実施しました。 日中はお茶室「Saika-en」にて日本文化体験を行いました。

Everyone selected their favorite yukata pattern, received assistance with dressing and hairstyling, and took part in a photo session.

In the tea ceremony experience, participants were fascinated by the traditional temae (tea-making procedure) and then tried whisking matcha themselves. At the Bon Odori practice, participants quickly picked up the steps and were soon able to dance smoothly.
 

参加者の皆さまにはお好きな柄の浴衣を選んでいただき、着付けや髪のセットをした後、撮影会を行いました。 茶道体験では、初めて見るお点前に皆さま興味津々でした。その後、自分で抹茶を点てていただきました。

For the shaved ice activity, everyone made their own favorite flavors, with Uji matcha proving especially popular among international guests.

At the exchange session, participants shared stories about food from their home countries, including the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia.
 

また、かき氷作りでは、参加者それぞれがお好みの味を作っていただきました。外国人の方々には宇治抹茶のかき氷が特に人気でした。 交流会では、参加者の皆さまに各国の食べ物についてお話しいただきました（フィリピン、インドネシア、タイ、マレーシア）。

In the evening, everyone joined the festival grounds, showcased the results of their practice by taking part in the Bon Odori, and enjoyed the grand finale—the Ashigara Fireworks.
It was a memorable summer day for all who participated.
そして、お祭り会場では、練習の成果を披露する盆踊りに参加し、クライマックスの花火大会を楽しみました。 皆さまにとって楽しい夏の思い出となったようです。
